What are Radio Data Termainals (R.D.T) & why it will save you money ?

RDT can be a hand held or truck mounted radio data terminal or PDA that gives operators permanent contact with their host via radio.

Data is entered by bar code scanner, keypad or written on screen & sent to the host computer to be processed

RDT's allow you to monitor and control activities in the warehouse and other Production areas to optimise your resources. Instructions are sent one at a time to the selected operator until a task is completed and confirmed. Stock is continuously monitored and information updated within seconds of actions being undertaken

Pickers are informed of a product's exact location and picks verified for suitability prior to removal of racks

Every movement is recorded & a product can be traced on/off packing lines, verified to the correct truck for distribution
